Obituary
Christopher Brian Matthews, 51, of Denton passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Denton. He was born August 11, 1963 in Dallas to Jimmy Luther Matthews, Sr. and Deloris June Shotwell Matthews.
He graduated from Denton High School in 1981 and was a member of Hope Community Church of the Nazarene. He loved to fish, play baseball and spending time with his two daughters and grand kids.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bernie Burnside officiating.
He is survived by his daughters, Lauren Ashley Brown and husband, Geoff of Pilot Point and Morgin Shea Brasher and husband, Jeff of Denton; mother, Deloris Matthews of Denton; sisters, Sandra Marie Reid and husband Rusty of Denton and Lisa Gail Akin and husband Ralph of Denton; brother, Alford Thomas Matthews and wife Laura of Denton and grandchildren, Emilee and Peyton; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Jimmy Luther Matthews, Jr.
