Christopher Lee Thomaston, 49, of Garland, Texas passed away on December 27, 2021. He was born on December 24, 1972 to Martha Ann Thomaston.
Singing Oaks Church of Christ is where Chris was introduced to the love of Jesus. That is where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized there. The youth group was very special to Chris and he remembered that time in his life fondly.
Chris graduated from Denton Independent School District and graduated high school in the early 1990's. He enjoyed learning and was blessed with many caring teachers and caretakers. Some of his passions included, drinking Dr. Pepper, playing card games and board games. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and their cheerleaders. He was also known to cheer for the famous Von Erich pro-wrestling family. Both the Dallas Cowboy organization and the Von Erichs took a special interest in Chris and his medical needs.
Christopher is preceded in death by both his parents, sister, Diana Carol Thomaston, brother Randy Scott Thomaston and advocate William H. Ponder
He is survived by his friends and advocate, Billie J. Ponder, Penny Posey, Rex Ponder and their extended families.
A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton, Texas on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton will be in charge of arrangements.
