Clara Anne George, 85, formerly of Lewisville, Tx., passed away on October 23, 2022. She was born on January 9, 1937 in Valley View, Tx., to Thomas Ratliff and Mary Ellen (Jones) Ratliff.

Clara was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked for the University of North Texas, Denton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved being out at the lake. She was a member of Towne North Baptist Church. Clara was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Clara is survived by her daughters, Lisa Schumann, and Kathy George and her husband Scott, son, Shane George and his wife Samantha, sister, Pearl Owens, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hall, her nine grandkids and their significant others, and her twelve great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, several brothers and sisters, husband, Kenneth George, daughter, and Janie George, and grandson, John Schumann.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.

A Graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
