Obituary

Clement Joseph Luebke, 89, of Denton, Texas, passed away on August 22, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on April 28, 1936, to Clement and Gertrude Luebke.

Clem lived a life full of love, laughter, and quiet achievement. Having accomplished unimaginable things over the course of his lifetime, he remained the epitome of humility a man whose greatest joy was found not in recognition, but in the ways he loved and cared for others.

He was never short on words or affection, and in his later years, that love and warmth became even more evident. With a sharp wit and an infectious sense of humor, Clem could light up any room with his smile. He cherished his time outdoors, especially fishing on Lake Champlain and enjoying a round of golf. At home, his perfectionism showed through his endless projects, reflecting both his skill and his background as an esteemed engineer.

Clem's deepest devotion, however, was always to his family. Navigating the challenges of blending families, he did so with honor, integrity, and unwavering love embracing everyone as if they were his own. His ability to love without condition left no doubt in anyone's mind about the depth of his care.

To his family, Clem gave the world, and his absence will be felt beyond words and measure. His legacy of love, humor, and dedication will live on in all who had the privilege to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Luebke, daughters, Kelly Forman, and her husband, Ken, of Springtown, Texas, Vicki Monroe and her husband, Mike, of Colorado, Deb Harris and her husband, Isiah, of Denton, Texas, and Lisa LaBounty of Denton, Texas, sons, Rick Luebke and his wife, Lisa of Michigan, and Todd Mercure of Washington State, fifteen grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Greg Luebke.
