Connie Marie Hicks, 57, of Denton, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2016 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by friends and family.  She was born on February 16, 1959 in McKinney, Texas, to T.W. and Gladys Goode.  Connie spent most of her childhood in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Aldine High School.  She married Mark Hicks on August 4, 1979, in Houston, Texas, and they enjoyed 37 wonderful years together.

Connie worked at Liberty Christian School for 13 years before taking care of her father, T.W., for the past 8 years.  She always had a kind or encouraging word to say to anyone and loved to laugh.  Connie loved her family dearly and loved the Lord God most of all.  Her sweet spirit and servant heart will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband Mark Hicks of Denton, son Andrew Hicks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Kenton Brice of Norman, Oklahoma, and many beloved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents T.W. and Gladys Goode.

The funeral will be on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:30 am at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas, with the burial immediately following at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
