Constance Suzanna Williams, 57, of Denton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Constance, known as Connie to everyone who knew and loved her, left us for her heavenly home in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. She was born June 5th, 1963 in Columbia, Missouri and resided in Denton, Texas with her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Williams, and would have celebrated thirty-five wonderful years of marriage this year. She is also survived by her three adult children, Ashley, Andrew, and Christopher Williams. She has one "absolutely perfect" grandson, Asher Scott Williams, who she spent four wonderful years pouring all her love into. She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy Kathleen Cornell, and her six siblings, Kathleen Weld, January Hubbard, James Cornell, William Cornell, Richard Cornell, and Ronald Cornell Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald George Cornell Sr.

After raising three children in Denton, Texas, Connie continued her education and graduated from Texas Women's University in 2003 with her Bachelor's in Business. She then went on to work at the University of North Texas as an Accounting Specialist for fifteen years.

Connie loved fabric and sewing and got so much joy from making quilts to give to those she loved. She even made and gave away several quilts to people she didn't even know who were in need of a gift or a smile. Her love for her family and friends was only surpassed by her love of Jesus and her continuous journey to be more Christ-like. As any grandparent can attest to, Connie's greatest love the last four years was her grandson, Asher. We are so thankful he got his Maw Maw's dimples so we can feel her smile around us always.

It is only fitting that Connie would depart the physical world for her heavenly one on the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century – a date as unique and 'once in a lifetime' as Connie.

Visitation is on Thursday, January 28 ^th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm and the funeral is on Friday, January 29 ^th at 10:30 am at the Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors home at 2025 W. University Dr. Denton, Texas 76201. The final resting place will be Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Floral arrangements can be made through Holly's Garden and Floral and notecards will be available to share favorite memories of Connie. In honoring her wishes, the family will be wearing bright and vibrant colors and would love if attendees would do the same. Due to Covid protocols, please wear your mask at the services and practice social distancing.
