Corinne Smith, 88, of Denton passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 in Dallas. She was born December 18, 1928 to Walter and Ann Lang in Little Falls, NY. Corinne graduated from The College at Brockport State University of New York. She married Jimmy Tom Lynch on August 28, 1954 in Rochester, NY, and they made their home in Denton, TX where Corinne was a first grade teacher for many years. Jim and Corinne later moved to Bryan, TX where Jimmy Tom succumbed to cancer. Corinne eventually moved back to Denton where she married Marion Earl Smith on October 20, 1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Denton, where she sang in the Chancel Choir and was a member of the Searchers Sunday School class.

Corinne is preceded in death by her husbands Jimmy Tom Lynch and Marion Earl Smith, parents Walter and Ann Lang, sister Jane Pfluger, brothers Norman and Raymond Lang, and her daughter Rene Castro.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Denton, with interment following at College Station Memorial Cemetery in College Station, TX.

Corinne is survived by her daughter Rebecca Smith and husband Lee of Justin, TX; daughter Robin Galvan and husband David of Northlake, TX; son Randy Lynch and wife Jana of Katy, TX; sister Joan Gresens and husband Bob of Rochester, NY; and brother Dr. Gordon Lang of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren: David Castro III and husband Jason, Bradley Gray, Maida Yowell and husband Britt, Laura Gray, Taylor Stillman and husband Matt, Sarah Smith, Devan Lynch, Lindsay Smith, Evan Lynch; and six great-grandchildren: Cassie Rene Pritchard, Tyler Pritchard, Eleanor (Ellie) Stillman, Spencer Stillman, Cameron Stillman, and Charley Rene Yowell.
