Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Sohi, 66, of Garland, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, New York to Lloyd Andrew Golley and Doris Louise "Blowers" Golley. Cindy moved to Texas in the 80's and worked at the Dallas Morning News for 27 years. Cindy was a member of Beacon Baptist Church, Clay, New York.
Cindy was a 14-year lung cancer survivor. She always had a smile on her face and loved to make others laugh. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend who loved freely and openheartedly. She also loved animals, especially her dogs, and the Dallas Cowboys.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Doris Golley, brother Laurence Golley and brother Ronald Golley. She is survived by her three children, Shannon Lee, Little Elm, Texas, Ryan Lee, North Dakota, Joshua Lee, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Krista Maier, Lewisville, Texas, Mackenzie Cameron, Arkansas, Brianna Lee and Kayla Lee, Syracuse, New York; great grandchildren, Krissiana Smith and Johnathan Gaines, Jr., Lewisville, Texas; her brother and sisters, Daniel Golley and wife Keiko, Cicero, New York, Janet Straw, Kirkville, New York, Elaine Majerus and husband Alan, Pensacola, Florida, Deloris Michaels and husband Jeffrey, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Colette Seltzer and husband Jeffrey, E. Syracuse, New York, Colleen Whipple and husband John, Rockwall, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services to be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Deberry Funeral Home, 2025 West University, Denton, Texas 76201.
