Dakota Jane Adoue passed away on February 13th, 2024, at the age of 32. Dakota was a remarkable individual whose presence lit up every room she entered. Her infectious smile and laughter were constants in the lives of all who knew her. Dakota was fiercely competitive and excelled in many sports; with her passion lying in soccer, golf, and bowling. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her.
Despite her petite stature, Dakota possessed a heart as vast as the sky, always ready to offer her kindness, support, and love to those around her. Dakota will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Her legacy will live on in the memories of her family and friends.
Dakota may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine bright in our hearts forevermore.
Preceded in death by: Kathi Adoue (Meemaw), Mahala Markett (Magaw), Lynn Kellam (Grammy), and Thomas Reavy (Opa).
Dakota is survived by: Spencer Westbrook, husband of 8 years. Parents: Shirley Reavey and Darrin Clay, Tor and Ellynn Adoue, and Andre Hodge. Siblings: Justin Adoue and his wife Stephanie, Asia Garrett and her husband Justin, Isabelle Adoue, Will Adoue, MacKenzie Hodge, and Preston Hodge. Grandparents: Christa Reavy (Oma), Dr. Victor Adoue (Pawpaw) and his wife Linda, William Kellam (Bubba), and Sue Spurgin (Grandmommy). And many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00pm.
