Daniel Anthony
Petersen
April 15, 1944 – December 9, 2019
Daniel Anthony Petersen, 75, of Argyle, Texas, graduated to heaven on December 9, 2019 in Plano, Texas. He was born in 1944 in Saint Paul, Nebraska to Wilmer H. Petersen and Velma A. (Gibson) Petersen.
He attended the University of Nebraska and was a General Contractor, architect and builder of recording studios. He had a lovely, rich baritone voice and loved to sing Gospel music. He had a private pilot's license and so enjoyed hanging out at Northwest Regional Airport with his friend Glen Hyde. He had a quick wit that kept his family laughing. He was a wonderful, kind gentleman; a loving husband, father and grandfather; a marvelous role model and a terrific friend. He was a man of integrity—honest and trustworthy. He was a very hard-working man and could work circles around most people. He was "macho" but tender-hearted. Most of all, he LOVED his Heavenly Father first and his family second.
He married Carol Ann Gum in Trophy Club, Texas on July 1, 1988. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Petersen; daughter: Rachele Gressett; sons: Jason Petersen, David Petersen and Kevin Petersen; brothers: Daryl Petersen and Dale Petersen; seven grandchildren: John Slaga, Brooke Gressett, Savannah Rash, Asher Petersen, Nina Petersen, Dawson Petersen and Declan Petersen.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Journey Fellowship Church in Denton with internment following at Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, Texas. Pastor Scott Meador will be officiating the service.
During the service, we will be playing a CD of Daniel singing "He Was There All the Time."
(In lieu of flowers, the family gently suggests donations in Daniel's memory to Journey Fellowship Church https://churchonajourney.com/ )
