Daniel Stephen Roy, 60, of Hickory Creek, Texas passed away on May 7, 2024 in Denton, Texas. He was born in Midland, Texas to Tom and Gloria Roy on September 22, 1963.

Dan met his wife and soulmate in 1979 when she was fourteen and he was sixteen years old.  They were married on May 31st, 1985. They shared a rare and truly special bond and their love story was truly inspiring.  They were together for 44 years and they shared an uncanny nonverbal language. Dan and Theresa welcomed their only daughter Tess in to their lives on April 15th, 1988.

Dan was a dedicated family man and he supported his wife and daughter without fail.  Dan and his daughter had a special bond and he always made time to nurture their relationship.  They share many memories and fun times.

Dan graduated with an Associates in Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy in 1990.  Later on, he started his own business (Native Technology) as an IT professional, building websites and specializing in website promotions.  Eventually, he became part of the team at his wife's business, Medical Spa of Plano.  He performed the duties of the Compliance Officer among many other things.

He enjoyed playing pool, drinking nice Scotch, collecting coins, relaxing in the pool and most of all spending time with his friends and family.  He had a wonderful, natural ability and desire to take care of everyone.  His absence will be felt by anyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Theresa Roy of Hickory Creek, his daughter, Tess Cancino, and her husband, Richard of Hickory Creek, Texas, and brother, Kelan Roy, and his wife, Allison of Eastland, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
