Danny Eugene Farmer was born September 6, 1955 in Denton Texas to Frances Carlotta Farmer.
Danny and his siblings were raised and loved by a village, D.L. and Carlotta Farmer, and Purley Belle and James Sprabeary. He left this earth surrounded by his village, though it had grown and changed, it was still a village of love and support. In Danny’s life there were two kinds of people, friends and family; they eventually merged and became his village, his framily. Even in death Danny made sure that his children and grandchildren were surrounded by a village to love them, support them, and carry them through this time.
At the age of twelve, Danny met and fell in love with Lydia. He remained faithfully by her side until she passed away in 2023. He still celebrated their “going steady” anniversary every February, their wedding anniversary every April, and all of the other anniversaries that meant so much to them each year.
Danny worked at Moore Business Forms for 18 years, he eventually retired from the City of Denton after 24 years of service in Facilities Management.
Danny was preceded in death by D.L., Carlotta, Purley Belle, and James, as well as his loving wife, Lydia. Three brothers, a brother in law, and a granddaughter.
He is survived by a sister, two brothers, several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, his four children, Chistina (Matt), Daniel (Karen), Scott, Ashley (Justin), fourteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Though he will be greatly missed here, he is now reunited with his beloved wife and others who passed before him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and strength to all those who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance during a visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W University Dr, Denton, Texas 76201.
