Danny Lee Lauterbach, 74 of Denton passed away on May 8, 2023, in Denton, Tx. He was born in Springfield, Il., on June 22, 1948.

Danny graduated Rochester High School in 1968 where he participated in FFA, track, and was a sports manager. On February 05, 1969, Danny enlisted in the US Army as a Radio Operator. Danny served in the Vietnam War with the 101 ^st Airborne Division and was honorably discharged on December 10, 1971. After leaving the military, Danny moved to Texas where he later met and married his wife of 42 years and raised his family. Danny loved to fish, bowl and anything that let him be with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lauterbach of Denton, daughters, Sheila Moore of Denton, Senora Diane Dailey and husband Dennis of Denton, Virginia Lynn Candelaria and husband Gabriel of Denton, sons, Tyson Lee Lauterbach of Bolivar, Tx., Gregory Lauterbach of Princeton, Tx., and Shawn Michael Lee Lauterbach of Denton, sister, Marilyn Young of Florida, brother, Charles Allen Lauterbach of Illinois, grandchildren, Taylor, Loren, Siena, Eriberto, Tyler, Addison, Courtney, Zach, Amanda, Kaylee, Ariel, Caden, Montana, Rickie, Dennis Jr., and Micah, and two great grandchildren, Julia and Alice.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 5 PM until 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 12:30 PM at Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas.
