Darla Renee Keene Nash, 66, a resident of Denton, TX passed from this life on September 6, 2025 in her own home.

Darla was a kind spirited person, she always has been. She had a beautiful, big hearted soul. If you knew Darla you also know she always had your best interest at heart, and she was a very welcoming person. She had more families outside of her own.

A few things she loved most was nature, her animals, her culture, and most importantly her family, friends, and husband. She got the biggest honor in life to be a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. That right there was her identity, aside from being Indian, she made sure everyone knew that.

There is so much more to her, but one thing we the family are most blessed to say is, she was very family oriented. Therefore, we all got the chance to create those special memories with her. We all have a favorite game, song, dance, drink, food, color, conversation, or bible verse, and that is thanks to her. We all have her in our hearts for the rest of the days.

Darla is predeceased by her parents, Claude Nash, Jr. and Georgia Mae Nash, sister, Sharon Townsend, brother, Jerry Nash, and grand daughter, Hope Bender.

Darla leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 9 years, spouse of 17 years, Calvin Keene, daughters; Falisha VanTassel and husband Jonathan, Patrice Simpson and husband Chris, Sondra Reiter and husband Brandon, Brandi Geray, Alisha McGee and husband Jason, Dalen Daggs, Delrae Keene, sons; James Geray, Timothy Keene and wife Shelbi, Riley Keene, grandchildren: Renee, Vanessa, Jonathan, Deanna, Diego, Elaina, Calissa, Maria, Rosa, Nathan, Hailey, William, Jace, Lillian, Stephannie, Ava, Abel, Haden, Chloe, Thea, Kyiah, Merrick, Aria, and Kourtlyn, great grandchildren: Mack, Aurora, Memphis, Annabelle, and Blakely sisters; Charlotte Keeton, and Sheila Ginsel, and a host of nieces and nephews.
