David Samuel Blakeley met his heavenly father on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was born March 4, 1930 in Dallas to Clyde A. Blakeley and Annabel Williams Blakeley. The family moved to Denton when David was five years old.

David was employed at the Denton Record Chronicle News Paper for 32 years. David and Bobbie enjoyed working together in their Blakeley Sales Business for twenty years. He was an avid Republican and loved talking about politics. His hobby was fishing.

David was blessed with a kind and gentle spirit. He loved God, family, friends, his pets, fishing and camping.

David is survived by his wife, Bobbie Sue Waggoner, daughter, Mary and husband Ed Moorehead, son David and wife Suzette, son Danny Blakeley and Dawn Blakeley, Grandchildren, Bill Hubble, Amy Blakeley, Kelly Hubble and Samantha Bates, great-grandchildren, Connor Hubble, Landri Hubble, Bridgette Hubble, Nova Nolte, Gavin Hubble, sisters in law Mary and husband Butch Potts, Wanda and husband Gene Roach also many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Annabel Blakeley, sister in law's Misty and Bobbie Jean Blakeley.

Visitation and funeral services will be at the Gateway Baptist Church 2401 North Bell Ave. Denton, Texas.  Pastor Buddy Owens will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Gateway Baptist Church with the service following at 3:30 P.M. Burial will follow at the Cooper Creek Cemetery Rev. Buddy Owens to officiate
