David Allen Brooks, 46, of Denton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014. He was born on January 11, 1968 in Terrell, Texas to David Lee Brooks and Bonnie Sue Gibbs Harper. He was a member of the Ivey Chapel in Denton, TX. We always knew that David was an angel on loan from heaven. He has now reclaimed his wings. What a joyous day in heaven for him and his loved ones. He touched so many lives in his special way.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 10-11 am at DeBerry Funeral Directors with a graveside service being held at 11:30 am at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating.

David is survived by his parents, Sue Harper and Gary Harper; sisters, Cathy Redfearn of Aubrey, TX and Judy Akins of San Antonio, TX; brother, Lee Brooks of Lake Kiowa, TX; and step brother, Jason Harper of Denton, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, David Brooks, and grandparents, Mildred Corman, Olan Gibbs, and Luther and Catherine Brooks.
