In Loving Memory of David Lewis Byrom
October 25, 1947 – October 12, 2026
David Lewis Byrom, 78, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving daughters. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, cherished memories, and a family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
David met his loving wife, Linda, in 1994, and the two were married on March 19, 2003. Together, they shared a love for traveling and exploring new places, including trips to Buffalo, New York, where they also enjoyed visiting Niagara Falls, as well as visits to beautiful national parks. These adventures and the time they spent together became treasured parts of their life as a couple.
Family was at the heart of David’s life. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, cousins, and Linda’s family. He had a playful personality, loved telling stories, and had a special way of bringing laughter into a room. His stories, humor, and the time spent together created memories that his family will cherish for generations.
David also enjoyed woodworking and was affectionately known as “Birdhouse Dave.” Through his woodworking, he shared his creativity and craftsmanship with others, creating special pieces that will serve as lasting reminders of his talent, patience, and generous spirit.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Byrom, of Bedford, Texas; his daughters, Dawn French and her husband, Trent, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; Laney Howard and her husband, Tracey, of Aubrey, Texas; Stacie Burt and her partner, Cornelius Cavitt, of Fort Worth, Texas; and Sally Baucom and her husband, Kris, of Azle, Texas.
He is also survived by his stepsons, Paul Alessandra and his partner, Brittany Bauduin, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nick Alessandra and his wife, Cassidy, of Reno, Nevada.
David was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Garrett and Jordan Gullette; Trevor, Troy, and Trent Howard; Sydnie, Kolten, and Vivian Burt; Preston Baucom; Nyjele Turner; Mason and Aeowyn Alessandra; and Skylar and Holland Alessandra. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, who brought another special generation of love and joy to his family.
He is also survived by his brother, Charles Byrom, and his wife, Elaine; his sisters, Janet Richardson and her husband, John, and Charlotte Riney; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Anita Byrom; his brother-in-law, Bud Riney; his son-in-law, Tyler Gullette; and his nephews, Mark and Steven Riney.
Though David’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, his spirit will live on through the stories told, the laughter shared, the woodworking he created, and the many memories made with the family he loved so dearly. He will be remembered for his playful nature, his love of family, his creativity, and the countless moments that made him uniquely himself.
David’s life was a gift to those who knew and loved him. While he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with his family forever.
