David Jan Farris, 50, of Krum was called Home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was born on September 20, 1963 in Denton to Weber Jan Farris and Dorothy Nell Standifer Farris. He married Rebecca Enslow on December 17, 1999 in Corral City, Texas and was the owner and operator of Farris Consulting.

David graduated from Krum High School in 1982. He served with the City of Denton Police Reserve for 12 years and worked as a computer programmer with Bristal Babcock, Emerson and Cygnet before opening his own consulting company.

David will be remembered as a loyal loving husband, a fantastic father and "Gramps", and a caring son, brother, uncle, and friend.

David is survived by his wife, Rebecca; sons, Ken Enslow and wife Ashley, and Levi Enslow and wife Kristina; parents, Jan and Dorothy Farris; sister, Debbie Monschke and husband Harold; and 1 grandson, Greyson Enslow. He leaves behind many other family and friends who will cherish the lasting memories created with David.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Solaris Hospice, 2250 S.
