David Floyd, 59, of San Antonio, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 4, 2014 in Denton, Texas.

He was born to the late Thomas Theodore and mother Emma Lou Floyd on Nov. 18, 1954, in Fort Worth.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by Debbie, his beloved wife of 25 years, son Matt, sister Margaret Hair, Aunt Ruth Long Walston, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

David enjoyed a long, wonderful career in the electrical sales and technical support field, most recently working for Stuart C. Irby Co. in San Antonio as their Technical Sales Specialist. He was also a licensed amateur radio operator for over 30 years, and a big part of the Lonestar Link System in South Texas.

David and his wife Debbie enjoyed traveling - driving or flying all over the country - as well as camping in their RV. He was highly knowledgeable about many things including current events, home repairs and maintenance, and a technical expert in many areas - generously offering to help anyone who asked.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11:30 a.m. in Denton, Texas at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors. The burial will follow the service at IOOF cemetery.
