David Glen Gordon, 52 of Sanger went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2016 at his home. David was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 19, 1964 to Alvin and Jerrye Gordon. He is survived by his mother and father, sisters, Teri Folkens and husband Eric of Bradington, Florida, Cheri Smith and husband Jay of Sanger, Texas, brother, Paul Gordon and wife Kelly of Sanger, nieces, Kate Folkens, Alyson Folkens, nephews, Randy Smith, Michael Smith and Casey Gordon. Great nephew, Lennon Smith and Great niece, Emma Smith.

David graduated from Joshua High in 1982. His church family was First United Methodist of Denton, he loved to worship. He was an active member of the Shalom Today AA Group in Denton which he considered part of his family. He was a business owner, loved to fish and watch the Dallas Cowboys.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S Locust Street, Denton, TX 76201, on May 9th at 2:30pm in the Cole Chapel.
