David Lee Hamilton, Sr., of Denton, passed away on February 25, 2018 peacefully in his sleep, at his home. He was born on April 7, 1955 in Fairborn, Ohio to Emma Jean Christy.

He proudly served in the United States Navy, graduated from ITT Technical Institute and retired from Texas Instruments after 25 years.  He was an exceptionally loving father and great friend to both strangers and those who knew him well.  He loved nature, music, and fulfilled his dream of driving across the United States in his RV.  He put his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  To his son & daughter, he was known as the greatest father anyone could ever have.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan Hamilton of Garland, son, David Lee Hamilton, Jr. of Denton, sister, Linda Eldridge of Frisco, brother, Kenny Hamilton of Maryland and one granddaughter, Zoe Kate Hamilton.

A committal Service will be held at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery on March 8th, at 2:00pm.
