Deborah Lynn Shelton-Mayes passed away peacefully at her home in Denton, Texas, surrounded by family, on April 24, 2022. Debby was born in Yokohama, Japan on January 10, 1953 to Lt. Col. and Mrs. William A. Shelton (Gladys). She was a member of Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Ridgewood Preparatory High School, and attended the University of New Orleans. She married Robin Mayes in 1977, and together they had two daughters, Shannon and Katie. Debby devoted her life to family and children, having worked as a preschool teacher for more than 40 years. Her friends were an integral part of her life, and she cherished several special friendships.
