Deborah "Debbie" Ann Evans, 59, of Denton, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Atrium Medical Center in Corinth, TX.
Debbie was born on July 7, 1953 in Kerrville, TX to Julia Edna Keese Evans and Albert Ray Evans. Debbie graduated from Denton High School in 1971 and East Texas State University, with a teaching degree. She went on to teach elementary school for 36 years with the last 23 years in Pilot Point, TX. Debbie enjoyed reading and spent many hours playing card games and dominoes with her family. She also loved her two cats or "little buddies" as she called them, Eggo and Mr. Waffles.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Julia Edna Keese Evans Noles and stepfather, T. W. Noles. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Ray Evans. She is also survived by brother, Steve Evans; sister Sandy Noles and husband John; stepsisters Kathy Scott and husband Jerry and Karen Bryant and husband Jason; and stepbrother Brent Noles; aunts, Anna Lee Hollimon (Aunt Ann), Laura Whitehead (Aunt Dutch), Billie Suthard (Aunt Bill); and many nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Frisco, Texas.
