Deborah Naomi Curtis Smith passed away in Denton, Texas on Monday, December 27, 2021.

She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on April 4, 1950 and adopted by Jewell Curtis and Willie B. McCaleb Curtis. She enjoyed softball, fishing, and riding horses. She was a jack of all trades, enjoying building, fixing, and remodeling for family and friends.

Deborah was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, as well as her birth parents, Clay Wakeland, and Rue Dean Salter Trammell.

Celebration of life will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

Deborah is survived by her wife, Joy Estee Curtis, her daughter Shiloh Dean Humes, granddaughters, Sarah Humes, Ashley Humes, and Kayla Sanford, her sisters, Vickie Tatsch and Cindy Bleeker, her brothers, Joey Guthery and Billy Guthery and many nieces and nephews.
