Obituary

Diana Campbell, 75, of Denton, Texas, passed away on May 2, 2015, in Denton. Diana was born on March 17, 1940, in Richmond, Virginia, to Brewster and Ruby Snow.

She grew up at Natural Bridge Station, Virginia. Following graduation from Natural Bridge High School, she attended Longwood College and in 1962 earned a B.S. in Education. She married Randolph "Mike" Campbell at Natural Bridge Station on June 9, 1962, and then taught elementary school in Virginia from 1962 to 1966.
Diana moved to Denton, Texas, in September 1966. She taught as a substitute teacher in Denton public schools for several years, worked as a secretary at Texas Woman's University, and then began a career on the staff at the University of North Texas. There, she served primarily in the office of the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. Through her years in Denton, she volunteered at numerous civic organizations, including Meals on Wheels, the Denton City-County Day Nursery, and the Denton Food Room.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Campbell of Denton; son J. Landon Campbell and daughter-in-law Janice Jacobs and grandsons Flynn and Wylie Campbell of Dallas, Texas; and son J. Clay Campbell and daughter-in-law Ashley Campbell and granddaughter Evy Gracyn Campbell of Flower Mound, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Brewster and Ruby Snow and her brother, James Vernon Snow.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 8, 2015. The family has requested that there be no eulogy, flowers, or gifts.
