Diane Thompson, 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born in the Netherlands on July 29,1952 to Henrikus Zwaneveld and Alberta Dietmers. She attended East High School in Salt Lake City (1970), University of Utah for two years, and Texas Women's University where she received a BS degree (1995).

Diane enjoyed family dinners; baking cookies, bread sticks and pies; quilting and creating baby blankets. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed outdoor activities, Fourth of July parades, Tex-Mex food, and doting on her grandchildren.  Diane was a loyal and caring friend.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Thompson; her four children and their spouses: David and Stephanie (Connelly) Thompson, Danielle and Michael Mouritsen, Michael Thompson, and Andrea Thompson; five grandchildren: Adam and Jordan Thompson; Benjamin, Zachary, and Christopher Mouritsen; and her brother Pete Zwaneveld.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and many, many pets over the years.

A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 4501 Teasley Ln. Denton, TX 76210, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM.
