Dimas Wences Alonzo, 89, of Denton went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born on March 25, 1927 in Mexico to Pablo and Dominga Wences Alonzo. He married Abrana Perez.

Dimas was a hard working man who loved to be in fields. Farming was his favorite.  He also loved music, if you knew him you would know he was always singing, dancing or play an instrument. Dimas was a well loved man. He never met a stranger. He will truly be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Abrana Perez Wences, one daughter, Sotera Wences, six sons, Publio Wences, Domingo Wences, Isabel Wences, Juan Rodriguez, Telesforo Wences, Dimas Wences Jr., four brothers, Job Wences, Miguel Wences, Sacorics Wences, Reynaldo Wences, twenty-five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday January 31, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
