Dolores Arriaga Herron, 85, of Denton passed away on February 6, 2018 in Sanger, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.

Dolores (Lola) graduated from San Felipe High School in Del Rio, Texas, and from Durahm Business College in San Antonio, TX.  While attending college, Dolores met and fell in love with Bobby Joe Herron who became her husband on February 14, 1953.

Dolores loved school, and was in every activity she could be a part of, she played many sports, was Homecoming Queen, and volunteered for many programs. She had a love for dancing. There was not a dance she didn't know and she never turned down an opportunity to dance.

After moving several times, Joe and Dolores settled in Denton, Texas where they raised their 3 children. Dolores was a homemaker, and had a heart for serving others. In her spare time, she also was an extra on Walker Texas Ranger, Barney, and several movies. Dolores was always busy, but always there for her family. Dolores was a loving, giving, beautiful woman who loved the Lord, and served anyone who needed help. Dolores will be greatly missed, but knowing she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and her husband, Joe, brings comfort and peace. They are dancing once again for eternity.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Libradita Arriaga, her two brothers, Ernesto Arriaga and wife Carmen, Benjamin Garcia, and the love of her life husband Bobby Joe Herron.

She is survived by her sister, Maria Guadalupe Castro, her three children, Anna Bush, Albert Herron and Eddie Herron. Dolores was blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dolores also has extended family she has loved dearly.
