Dolores Villanueva/Veanueva Skaggs, 89, died at The Vintage on November 9, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on May 16, 1926 in Denton, Texas.
She lived in Denton, West Virginia, Euless, Irving, Mineola, Longview, Tyler and Gainesville and worked for years as an independent hairdresser.
Dee was a member of Singing Oaks Church of Christ and was a vibrant loving woman who lived life to the fullest.
She is survived by her children, Mike Skaggs and wife Susan of Alba, Texas, Shawn Pettit and husband Warren of Alvord, Texas, Rick Skaggs and wife Penny of Celina, Texas, Melanie Murry and Husband Jon of Tyler, Texas, Mark Skaggs and wife Cheryl of Ponder, Texas.
She was a Grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dee is preceded in death by Ralph Skaggs, her loving husband of 51 years, brothers; Antonio Villanueva, Joseph Villanueva, Ben Villanueva, Bradley Villanueva and Sam Villanueva. Sisters; Margaret McShane, Trina Moralez, Josephine Fleming and half-sister, Ramona Salazar.
The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral directors in Denton, Texas on November 12, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A private family graveside service will follow.
