Dominick Stephen Ciulla, fondly known as Don, 75, of Denton, TX, passed away on February 5, 2022.  Husband of Francine (Bartilotta) Ciulla of Denton, TX. Father of Stephen (Andrea) Ciulla of Denton, TX and, Dianna (Will) Bacon of Frisco, TX.  Grandfather to Allie (Kendall) Kruger, Andrew Ciulla, Abigail Bacon, and Beau Bacon and great-grandfather to Rhett Adam Kruger.  Brother of Robert (Barbara), James (the late Debra), and Sam J. (Kathleen) Ciulla and Uncle to several nephews and nieces.

Don was born on October 22, 1946 and spent his childhood with three brothers in Skokie, IL where they attended Loyola Academy.  He met his wife, Francine, at the age of fourteen and they began dating. Don and Francine were married June 1967 in Skokie, IL. Don began a career in hospital administration that took him to Houston, TX in the mid 70s, back north to Pana, IL and finally back to Texas in 1981.  Don settled his family in Denton when he became the hospital administrator at Denton Regional Medical Center (formally Westgate and currently Medical City Denton). He continued a long and successful career until he medically retired in 1998. After retiring Don earned his PhD in Health Studies from Texas Woman's University. He was an adjunct professor for many years at TWU and Walden University. Don found great pride in his work as a hospital administrator and educator. He developed many life-long friendships.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Josephine "Josie" (Testa) Ciulla. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Cook Children's Medical Center of Fort Worth - both in honor of Allie's 27 years in remission.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the DeBerry Funeral Home, located at 2025 W. University Dr., Denton, TX 76201.
