Donald Dean Burr, 85, of Denton, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
He was born in Stockton, California on January 7, 1937 to Delmar Leon Burr and Mildred Pauline Chambers Burr. He grew up in Conway, Arkansas.
He married Brenda Burch Burr on October 27, 1962 in Mobile, Alabama.
He was a commercial airline pilot for 30 years. He served in the Air National Guard, and the Air Force Reserve. He retired from the US Air Force Reserve with 20 years of service. Post retirement, he served as a flight instructor for American Airlines for several years.
Don most enjoyed flying. He loved spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities, and doing projects around the house. He is most often remembered for his corny jokes and "one-liners". He had a compassionate heart and was sensitive to those in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and three children, four siblings and their children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 11th at The Denton Bible Church (2300 E University Dr, Denton, TX 76209), at 11am.
