Donald Louis Byers 90 of Denton passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Medical City Denton Hospital.  He was born on November 13, 1927 in Chanute, KS to Delbert L. and Florence Phern Sieble Byers.  He served in the US Navy.

His survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Rosa Gilbert Byers, of Denton, Texas, and sister, Dolores Pottorf of Topeka, Kansas. Children include: one son, Stephen Byers, of Topeka, Kansas. Daughters, Pam Solis of Topeka, Kansas (Jerry), Kristine Byers Fuqua, of Topeka, Kansas, and Sharon Parmley of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren include: granddaughters, Staci Byers, Allen, Texas, Rachael Solis of San Antonio, Texas, Jessea Solis of Coco Beach, Florida, and grandson, Chad Parmley, of Denton, Texas. Great-granddaughters: Asha Solis and Mayah Solis of Topeka, Kansas; Ava and Ashlyn Parmley of Richardson, Texas; Reese Peyton of Richardson, Texas, and great-great-granddaughter, Abryell Solis, of Topeka, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shawna Solis, of Topeka, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25th, 2017 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.  Rev. Charles Hawley will officiate the service.  The family will receive family and friends at the family home following the service.
