Donald Jack Davis, 78, of Denton passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Denton. Don was born October 13, 1938 to Jack and Anna Mae Davis in Abilene, Texas.

Don graduated from Denton High School in 1957 and took over ownership of Davis Purity Bakery in 1965. He went on to graduate from U.N.T. in 1967 and served in the United States Air Force. Don was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton and was the Vice President of the Retail Bakers Association. He is preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Davis and his parents Jack Taylor Davis and Anna Mae Davis.

Don is survived by his companion Mary Taylor, daughter Kimberly Bentley, son Brad Taylor, sister Barbara Hite and his brothers Jerry Davis, Mike Davis and David Davis. He was "Grand Donald" to Jordan, Austin, Chandler, Jimmy, Randy and Madison.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Private Family Graveside will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
