Born on September 24, 1946, Donald Hester lived a life deeply committed to duty and devotion. As a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, he carried the values of loyalty and discipline into every facet of his life. He passed away on August 27, 2026, in Denton, Texas.

Donald built a life marked by work, faith, and devotion to what mattered most to him. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation, serving in a role that reflected steady commitment and responsibility. Beyond his career, he was a man of God who loved to spread the word of Christ, and his faith was an important part of the life he lived and the way he related to others.

Beyond his military service, his true joy was found in his church family. He was a dedicated, church-going man who shared his deep faith through ministering to anyone in need whenever the opportunity arose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucy Hester.

His legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his two sons, Jonathan and Abraham Hester, and his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth and Crawford.

A graveside service will be held on September 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
