Donald Wayne Shaw, Sr, 64, of Denton passed away on August 22, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 7, 1954 to Alvin and Katherine Shaw in Mineral Wells, Texas.

He worked for Acme Brick for many years. He enjoyed cooking and learning new ideas from watching cooking shows. He would cook most everything on his smoker and his favorite was smoking briskets.

He was a die-hard Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR and to the dismay of his sons, he was a San Francisco 49'ers fan. He bowled on the "Weekend Warrior Bowing Team for many years and enjoyed bowling. He was a loving father and a man to both of his sons, even though they were a pain in his backside. He was a friend to many and disliked by no one. He will be missed.

He is survived by his sons, Donald "D.J." Shaw, Jr. of Denton, Randy Shaw of Denton, sister, Mary Shaw of Denton, Diana Shaw of Florida, brother, Ronnie Shaw of Krugerville, TX.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 6-7 PM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Services will begin at 7:00 PM.
