Donald Aaron "Don" Yeatts
April 24, 1942 - October 28, 2026
Don Yeatts, 84, passed away on October 28, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Don was born on April 24, 1942, In Sanger, Texas, to Aaron Harvey and Flora Ethel Kreger Yeatts.
On December 22, 1962, he married the love of his life, Emily Jane Anthony at Calvary Baptist Church in Denton. Together, Don and Jane shared more than 63 years of marriage and raised their two children. They were members of Towne North Baptist church in Denton
A dedicated and determined man, Don spent 38 years with Victor Equipment where he worked as a tool and die maker. Don loved the Lord and his family and found great joy in the simple things in life: being outdoors, hunting and fishing, farming and gardening, woodworking, working with his hands, and fixing or building just about anything.
Don always brought a sense of wit to the room. He kept us laughing and had a mischievous, playful side that made life with him fun. These were the things he loved, and they reflected so much of who he was - a God-fearing, hardworking, loving man who found joy and contentment in a life well lived.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Jane Yeatts, and his two children. His daughter Janet Yeatts Ackerman, and her husband, Kevin, and their family: grandchildren Kaylin Thies and her husband, Job, and Ashley Ackerman; and great-grandchild, Chloe Thies. His son, Ronnie Yeatts, and his wife, Sondra, and their family: grandchildren Ryan Yeatts and his wife Madi, and Sean Yeatts and his wife, Madison. He is also survived by his brother, Clyde Yeatts, and sisters, Yvonne Cain and Susie Yeatts. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Yeatts.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to a charity of your choice. Most importantly, Don would want those who knew and loved him to share in the hope that he found in Jesus Christ - the assurance that, in Him, this goodbye is not forever.
Don's visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00am in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, with the service starting at 11:00. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.
