November 3, 1941 – July 16, 2025
Donna Jean (Beaver) Stroud, age 83, passed away on July 16, 2025 in Denton, Texas. She was a retired teacher's aide with the Dallas Independent School District. Donna was born on November 3 1941 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Minnie (Smith) and John Beaver.
Donna grew up in Pittsburgh, Kansas where she enjoyed singing at her local Nazarene church. She graduated from Pittsburgh High School.
After graduation Donna made her home in Mesquite, Texas where she raised her 2 daughters, LaDawn and Kami. She began a long career working in the Dallas School district, where she worked with children in speech therapy and ESL. She enjoyed playing piano and organ at her local church. Donna was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene.
After retiring she moved to Denton where she enjoyed being around family (especially her great-grandson Thomas), as well as reading and watching Westerns.
She is survived by a daughter, LaDawn Cooper and husband, Wayne of Denton; her grandson, Matthew Cooper of Denton, her granddaughter, Crystal Porter and her husband Jeff and great-grandson, Thomas of Denton, her son-in-law, Tony Martin of Paris, Texas and a brother, Gary Beaver of Ellenwood, GA, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie, a sister Lorene, brothers Ken and Keith and her daughter, Kami.

Graveside services will be held at Sanger Cemetery, 525 McReynolds Road, Sanger, TX on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2 pm. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ken Tesch.
