Donna Mae Vasey passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 in Denton, Texas.

She was born in Libertyville, IL on April 8, 1944 to Donald and Lillian Griffin. Donna married Kenneth Vasey and together they raised two sons, William and Michael.

Donna had a passion for beauty and operated two beauty salons in Mundelein IL for many years before transitioning her attention towards horses, her true passion. Breeding and showing horses all over the United States created everlasting legacies, memories and friendships. After hanging up the bridles, Donna and Ken moved south and retired to the warmer climate of Florida. They bought and sold numerous homes across the state fulfilling Donna's love for decorating. Eventually, they settled in Texas next to their son Michael where they enjoyed all their ranch style community had to offer. They loved making frequent road trips across the county to visit with friends and family.

Donna was preceded in death by her father Donald, sister Leonora, and husband Ken. She is survived by her mother Lillian, siblings Don, Pattie, Pam, Bill, and John, sons William and Michael, and three grandchildren Megan, Zachary and Krystal.

Donna will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois on May 22nd, 2020.
