Dora Lou Sloan, 88, passed away on November 2, 2021 in McKinney, Texas. She was born in Tarrant County, Texas to William and Gertie (Blackwell) Greer on June 12, 1933.

Dora was a homemaker and life-long Baptist.  She enjoyed traveling, sewing and was an avid bridge player for many years.

She played piano and met her future husband of 53 years when she served as pianist for the Keller Methodist church and met Crawford who was the catcher on the church softball team.

Family will always cherish and remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and we now rejoice as she has gone to her heavenly home.

She is survived by her daughters, Rita Ashby of Longview, Tx., Lisa Rowett and husband Charles of Bandera, Tx., son, Crawford Sloan, Jr. of Cooper, Tx., and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Sloan, Sr., and her mother and father.

A graveside service will be held at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
