Doris Kehinde
Adebisi
December 20, 1971 – August 2, 2019
Doris Kehinde Adebisi passed on to Glory on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas after battling with Leukemia. She hails from Ondo State in Nigeria and is the second of seven siblings born to Lawrence and Veronica Fadakinte. She was born on December 20, 1971. In 1991, she surrendered her life to Christ at Catholic Charismatic Fellowship and later joined Deeper Life Bible Church where she met her loving husband Raphael Adebisi on November 20, 1999.
The union is blessed with four children, Blessing, William, Eunice and Esther Adebisi. She attended Osun State College of Education, Ila- Orangun between 1994 to 1997. She immigrated to the United State in 2013 with her family. In August, 2018 she was sent as a Missionary with the family to Kansas City, Missouri.
Doris was a woman who loved to help people, and she touched the lives of all those who came in contact with her. She loved to teach and hoped to open a school someday. She was compassionate and saw the best in people. Everywhere she went she was a beacon of hope and righteousness to all who met her. Doris was a humble woman who gave her all to God, and always put Him first. As a woman of faith, she was strong even at her most painful moment in the hospital. She was a truly virtuous woman that exemplified Proverbs 31. Testimonies abound about the lives she touched. One of her parting words to her husband was to make sure he brings her children to meet her in Heaven.
She is survived by her aged parents, husband and four children. Her demise, though painful, is a testament to Psalm 116:15 (Precious in the sight of God is the death of His Saints).
May the Lord grant us the grace to walk in the narrow path till we see her at the bosom of the Father.
