Doris Mae Wells Shaw, 95, of Krum passed away on July 19, 2017 in Denton, Texas. She was born on June 23, 1922 to Clarence and Oaxie (Harris) Wells, Sr. in Mineral Wells, Texas.

She graduated Mineral Wells High School serving as Miss Mineral Wells and Drum Major of the marching band. She married the late Dewitt T. Shaw Jr. in Cleburne, Texas.

After their retirement from owning Wells Shaw Motor Company in Mineral Wells in 1972, she and Dewitt travelled the United States and Canada in their beloved travel trailer with friends for many years.
After the passing of Dewitt, she relocated to Krum in 2000 to be closer to family. She stayed active as a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital, Krum City Library and the First Methodist Church of Krum.

She is survived by her sons; Tom and his wife Rita Shaw of Krum, John and his wife Sue of Blanco, Texas, sister, Iris Bianchi of Wichita Falls, Texas, brother, Mike and wife Leanne of Mineral Wells, Texas, grandchildren Dan Shaw, Jill Shaw, Russell Reagan, Cole Reagan and Scott Reagan and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Shaw, daughter, Penny Reagan, brother Clarence Wells, Jr. and her mother and father.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday, July 21, from 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells, Texas on Saturday, July 22 at 10:30 A.M.
