Doris E. Williams, aged 83, of Justin, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 8, 1941, to Edwin and Mavis Wright, Doris was a cherished mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was the former owner of Williams Drive-In Grocery and a devoted member of the Justin Church of Christ.

On June 3, 1966, Doris married Arthur Williams at the Springtown Church of Christ, and they shared many wonderful years together until his passing on August 3, 2007. Doris found joy in reading the Bible, engaging in Search-and-Find games, and watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and her beloved cats, Pearl and Gimzo.

Doris is survived by her brother, Loyd Wright, and his wife, Janice, of Flower Mound; her daughter, Tammy Whitmire, and her husband, Bobby, of Justin; her son, Tim Williams, and his wife, Dana, of Dallas; her niece, Laura, and nephew, Alan; and her grandchildren, Brittany and Gavin. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Williams, and her parents, Edwin and Mavis Wright.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, March 6th, at DeBerry Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, March 7th, at the Justin Church of Christ, officiated by Joe Slater. Doris will be laid to rest at Justin Cemetery.
