Dorothy Mae Cannedy passed away in Denton, Texas on May 10, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born in Clarksville, Texas on February 27, 1938 to James and Mabel Leach.

Dorothy worked in the cafeteria at Crockett Junior High in Irving for 30 years. She also worked the ticket booth at most High School sporting events for 20+ years. She loved her church family at Plainview Baptist Church in Krum and enjoyed reading and gardening. Her sweet dachsund, Penelope, was always by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Mabel Leach, her husband John, her twin sister Dora Smith, and brothers James and Thomas Leach.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Linda and son John.
