Dorothy Dareing, 83, of Valley View, Texas passed away on June 27, 2020 in Justin, Texas. She was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on November 29, 1936 to Fred and Elizabeth (Campbell) Ebbs.

After graduating from Duncan High School, Duncan Oklahoma, Dorothy worked at Magnolia Petroleum Company and later for Halliburton Company in the Legal Department. After getting married in 1956 she moved with her family to England and later Scotland where she developed a love of history. While living overseas Dorothy was instrumental in starting numerous churches and supporting missionary work.

After returning to the United States she remained active in her church where she worked as a Sunday School Teacher and Choir member. As a teenager she had been professionally trained as opera singer and she was often sought to sing as a soloist in her church.

Continuing with her interest in history she owned and operated an antique business and conducted research into family history and ancestry.

She continued to be active in the church and was a member of First Baptist Church Valley View.

A member of the Clan Campbell Society, she was married for 63 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill Dareing of Valley View, Tx., daughter, Patti Brunet, son, D. Bruce Dareing, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and sister, Freda Beth Adams.

Funeral Services will be held on July 2 ^nd at 11:30 am at the First Baptist Church of Valley View, in Valley View, Texas. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the Funeral Service. Interment will be held at Valley View Cemetery.
