Dorothy (Dot) Hausmann, 84, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Denton, Texas.  She was born on December 2, 1932 in Woodsboro, Texas to Elmer and Cleo Norris.  Dot married the love of her life, Bob Hausmann, on July 8, 1952.

They were blessed with two daughters Cindy Moore and Linda Mayhugh.  During her lifetime, Dot was a teacher in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She was an administrative assistant in Lubbock, Texas and Hobbs, New Mexico.  Her final employer was Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, Texas where she was the Director of Volunteers for twenty years.  While doing an excellent job in these positions, she excelled at being a Christian wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bob Hausmann; her children Cindy (Steve) Moore of Krum and Linda (Greg) Mayhugh of Meridian, Idaho; six grandchildren: Becky (Steven) Jones; Kayla (Reno) Wilson; Russ Moore; Michelle (Craig) Stevens; Traci (David) Denton; Kevin (Ashley) Mayhugh and ten great-grandchildren: Chase and Bree Jones; Alyssa, Parker and Kennedy Stephens; Camille, Alison and Benjamin Denton; Jackson and Camden Mayhugh. She was loved dearly and will be missed.

Dot was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Norris; her mother, Cleo Norris, her brother, Frank Norris; and granddaughter Leann Moore.

The family will have a celebration of her life in the near future.
