In Loving Memory of Dorothy Manuel
February 25, 1938 - April 11, 2024

Dorothy Manuel was born in Morehouse, Louisiana on February 25, 1938, to the late Lola Melton and Paul Jackson.

Throughout her life, Dorothy dedicated herself to caring for others, working tirelessly as a dietary aide at various locations, including The Vintage, until her retirement in 2015.

A longtime member of the East Prairie Street Church of Christ, she found strength, solace, and community in her relationship with the Lord. Her unwavering faith served as a guiding light, inspiring all who knew her.

In the hearts of her loved ones, Dorothy will forever be cherished . She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two sons, Herman Goldsmith, Michael Ridge, and daughter Eddie "Moose" Ridge.

Dorothy is survived by her children Helen (Sammie) Woodson of Denton, TX , Patricia "Peaches" Combs of Abilene, TX, Jackie (Lonnie) Flemming Denton, TX , Herbert (Michelle) Goldsmith of Houston, TX, Stuart (Madeline) Goldsmith of Houston TX, Curtis (Debbie) Goldsmith of Fort Worth, TX, Dewayne Goldsmith of Dallas, TX, and Edgar Ridge and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence, but who will forever be grateful for the blessing of her life.
