Dorothy Alta Swick, 92, of Denton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She was born June 6, 1923 in Denton to E.J. and Daisy Jones Headlee. She graduated from Denton High School and TSCW (now TWU). She married Wayne E. Swick on April 18, 1942 at the Little Chapel in the Woods.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Bungalow Class, and enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge and supper club. She was also an avid football fan rooting for her beloved Cowboys and her favorite college teams!
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church Denton TX, in Cole Chapel.
She is survived by her son Doug and his wife Lisa, her grandson Tyler and his wife Michele, and great granddaughter Kimberly, granddaughter Courtney Byers and her husband Jake; her daughter, Judy Pagnotta and husband Mike from Medford NJ, granddaughter Emily Petrillo and her husband Robert, grandson Mickey and granddaughters Audrey and Olivia. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne (Mickey), her parents, E.J. and Daisy, sisters, Ruby, Zelda, Lilla, and St. Clair and brother Deats.
