Dorrel J. Emery, 86, of Denton passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. We will desperately miss her, but will always treasure the memories of the kindness and caring for all she met.

She was born to Joel and Ruby Bolton on January 18, 1932 in Paris, Texas. She married Dale Emery June 13, 1951 in New Deal, TX.  They raised 2 kids (Sherry and Rick) in West Texas before moving to Denton, TX in 1978.

Dorrel is survived by her husband Dale Emery, daughter Sherry Wyatt, son Rick Emery and wife Dorothy Emery, sister, Helen Greer, sister, JoAnn Pahlow, half siblings Gordon and Betty Sue, granddaughter Charity Emery, friends, many nieces & nephews and fur babies Maya & Marley.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joel and Ruby Bolton; sisters Rachel, Sadie, Margaret and Jeri; brothers, Hubert, Sylvester, and Hulen.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Good Samaritan Rehab and Presbyterian Hospital of Denton for their kindness and care.  Dorrel stated the same many times during the last weeks of her life.

Visitation will be Friday, February 23 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at DeBerry Funeral Chapel, intermit will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.  Following the services, there will be a catered lunch at Dale and Dorrel's home in Denton, TX; all family and friends are welcome to attend.
