Obituary

Dortha Shorter Buller, 94, of Granbury, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2015. She was born May 23, 1920 to Lee and Mate Shorter on their farm near Hillsdale, Oklahoma. She married Leonard Buller, of Goltry, Oklahoma, on September 15, 1940 at her family farm. Early in their marriage, they relocated for a time to Long Beach, California, where Leonard served in the U.S. Navy. They lived in the Oklahoma towns of Enid, Okeene, Stillwater, and Oklahoma City prior to moving to Dallas, Texas in 1957. They relocated to Denton, Texas in 1999. Following the death of her beloved husband, Dortha relocated to Granbury, Texas to be near her son and his family. She has been a member of the Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas for over 50 years and was a volunteer for the Leukemia Society for many years.

Dortha is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mate Shorter, husband, Leonard, a son, Kirby, and a sister, Margaret Graalman. She is survived by son, Kendall and daughter-in-law, Sharon, of Granbury, Texas; grandson, Chad Hamill, wife Christa, and great grandsons, Cole and Cash, of Cleburne, Texas; nephew, Bob Graalman and wife Diane, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; great nephew, Travis Graalman and wife, Rachelle, of California; great niece, Sarah Graalman of New York; niece, Nancy Graalman and great niece, Julia Millhouse, of California; and great niece, Meg Millhouse of Montana.

A memorial service will be held in the near future. Internment will be at Hillcrest Mausoleum in Dallas, next to her beloved husband and son.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society in lieu of flowers.
