Doyle Blagg, aged 83, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Medical City Denton. He was born on December 6, 1941, in Denton, near the Navo Community, he was the beloved son of Bill and Geneva Norris Blagg.

Doyle proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Denton High School and TCU. As a 4th generation Master Farrier, Doyle dedicated over 60 years to his craft, shoeing multiple winners in various disciplines. His exceptional contributions to the field were recognized with his induction into the International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame in 2010.

On October 1, 1999, Doyle married Mickie Miller in Denton, TX. He is survived by his loving wife, Mickie Blagg; his sons, Riley Blagg (Kathy) and Bobby Blagg; his daughter, Kristi Galan; his granddaughters, Alyssa Blagg and Amanda Kish (Larry); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Jaxon, and Brooklynn Kish.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 am on Friday, August 29, 2025, in the DeBerry Chapel, with Reverend Sam Redfearn officiating. Doyle will be laid to rest at Trinity Cemetery, east of Denton. Pallbearers will include Ted Turner, Gilbert Grissom, Jann Jones, Eddie Schoenthal, Wayne Blagg, and Dr. Barry Wood.
